Student Life

We offer our students various programs and activities to engage the mind, body and spirit. Everything from athletics to extra-curricular activities and off-campus field trips create a safe, fun and exciting environment for students.

Athletics:

Sports and physical activities are part of developing a healthy heart and body. They also help students develop a sense of healthy competition and sportsmanship. At St. Jerome, we encourage students to get involved in one of our many after-school teams. There is a sports activity available for all grade levels.

Extra-Curricular:

Learning and development extend beyond the classroom. Student Council, Drama, Scouting, Dance, Prep Bowl, Band and Choir are areas in which students can participate and grow.

Field Trips:

Field trips are primarily an educational and cultural experience and are planned by the respective teachers. Field trips are privileges and students can be denied participation if they fail to meet academic or behavioral requirements. Each student may be required, at the time of the trip, to pay a fee to cover the transportation and/or admission expenses. All field trips will be chaperoned. The number of chaperones required depends on the age of the students and the type of trip. Parents may be requested to chaperone a class on a field trip. A student must have a written permission slip from his/her parent in order to leave school grounds for a field trip. Permission may not be granted over the phone. Any student not participating in a field trip is required to attend school as usual. It is understood that the school shall not be held responsible for any accident or mishap that may occur on a field trip.
